A short presentation by Jay Olson (http://www.jayolson.org/ - Dept of psychiatry, McGill) followed by a discussion on the topic, in the open spirit of the CRISCo series of meetings. Everybody welcome.
For millennia, magicians have amazed audiences and developed intuitions about the mind. More recently, scientists have started testing these intuitions to learn more about psychology. This talk with demonstrate how magic can enable new methods in science and uncover new phenomena in psychology. Some of these magic tricks will be demonstrated.
